Not Good Bye, But See You Next Year!

2010 is over and we are starting a new year.  I look forward to all that 2011 has to offer with open arms.  So many great things to come on the blog.  I was planning on doing a recap of the year, not best of outfits but outtakes of outfits. I may still do it, but for now I leave you with my gratitude and appreciation.  Thank you to all who read and comment on the blog. I truly enjoy blogging and my readers are the reason I keep going strong.

In 2011 I plan to bring you more outfit post, more giveaways and more special features.  Anything you would like to see just let me know.  I will leave you with my last outfit of 2010, nothing special but just me!

I often debate about posting certain outfits on the blog, because they are not "special" or blog worthy.  I decided to post more outfits in 2011 whether they are special or not, this is my style blog after all!

~Stripe Tee from Sears ~ Cardigan Sweater from Torrid ~ Jeggings from Fashion Bug ~ Faux Leather Jacket from Marshalls ~ Scarf from Asos Gifted ~ Sunnies from Fossil ~ MIA Moto Boots from Nordstroms~

These pictures are my take on some of the awesome poses I see on other blogs! LOL Just me having fun and being a silly with my boo...Enjoy!

Bling In The New Year!

As we come to the end of this year 2010, I am sure we are all looking forward to New Years Eve.  I've seen many tweets, facebook updates and blog post about what everyone is wearing or wanting to wear for their celebrations.  Today reading my emails I came across some fabulous sparkly and blingy dresses.  Thanks to Big Girl Runway for introducing me to this new retailer/desinger.   So'Sweety is based out of London and I know some of you are gonna swoon over these dresses!  Sizes  range from 12-28 (I believe they are UK sizes) with a style and variety of colors for everyone.  I love discovering new retailers and designers for us curvaceous gals, the more options we have the more fabulous we will look!

Amelie 140 Euros
Brigitte 135 Euros
Allyson 155 Euro
I am not the type to really wearing lots of sparkle or bling, but I can definitely give it a try.  I can see my self wearing the purple Amelie one day for a very special occasion. Hmm will have to see if that day comes in 2011.  Can't wait to see one of you bloggers rock these dresses in your blog ootd post. I know one of you will!  ;)

Which one is your favorite?

Vegas Holiday 2010

One week ago I was enjoying all that Las Vegas has to offer.  I took a much needed mini vacay to relax and forget about my worries.  Well now I'm back to reality, but will always have Vegas! LOL  My BF made a little video to recap our fun times of eating, shopping and gambling.  I like to call him my brown Scorsese....ha ha ha   Enjoy!

Please comment and rate my videos, the boo works really hard making them for my blog. If you haven't already done so, please subscribe to my You Tube channel as well.  Thank you!

Family Time

I hope everyone had a great Christmas holiday. In my previous post I talked about my lack of holiday spirit and grinchy mood.  Well I am happy to say that my Christmas was great, turns all I need was a little family time.  I spent Christmas eve with my family (most Latinos celebrate on Christmas eve) with a awesome tamale dinner. I helped my mom and sister the day before to make the tamales, so it was rewarding to eat them on Christmas eve, tamales were very yummy by the way!  My brothers, sister and all my nieces/nephews came over to my moms house, we ate dinner and exchanged gifts. It was nice to all be together, since lately we haven't seen much of each other.  It was also nice to have my boo (BF) be there to celebrate with my family, along with an aunt who was visiting from Mexico. Over all the evening was wonderful and glad I was able to snap out of it and enjoy Christmas with my family.  On Christmas day I went over to the in-laws with my BF to spend the day with his family. Once again we had a very yummy dinner of rib eye roast and exchanged gifts.  Both days were nice and I enjoyed spending time with both families.  I am glad though its all over and we can move on with our regular daily lives.  So now I'll be back to blogging and hopefully have some really fun and cool things to share with everyone. Now lets get ready to party for New Years! What plans do you have for NYE? Can't wait to see everyone's outfits on the blogs.

I wore a new floral top from American Rag via Macy's, skinny pants from Pure Energy & Mossimo boots both from Target.

Lately I have been slacking on the outfit pictures, but I did manage to get a few decent shots.  I wanted to include my cute nieces in the pictures, since we all share love of fashion.  Aren't they cute, just like their tia (aunt) LOL  I sneaked  in a picture of my love as well, we don't have many pics together so I was sure to get one on Christmas.  My niece in the black dress (from F21 by the way) is my mini me, people always say we look a like.  I tell her it must be the chubby cheeks and curls we both have...LOL  What do you think, can she pass as my little sister?  (Obviously I am too young to be her mom!!!)

Wish I Was Still There!!

I'm back from Vegas and wish I was still there! :( Came home to a severe storm and its been raining for days here in So Cal. The weather isn't helping with my crabby, grinchy mood. Not sure why but I haven't been in the holiday spirit at all this year. I really thought getting away and taking a mini vacay in Vegas would help. Nope it hasn't, but I did have a good and relaxing time away. So just wanted to do a quick post from my trip. Strangely from some reason I haven't even been in the blogging mood. either. Haven't been online much...geez what the heck is wrong with me!! Blah!

Well don't want to be a sour puss and ruin any one else holiday mood. I did get a chance to eat a awesome restaurant in Vegas at Caesars Palace. We ate at Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill, so yummy and highly recommend it. I ate the Prix-Fix lunch where you choose from an appetizer, 1 entree and dessert. I had the shrimp & roasted garlic corn tamale, the ancho chile honey glaze salmon  with black bean sauce and the Bourbon pecan tart with cream cheese ice cream. OMG it was divine, I'm drooling just thinking about it! If you ever get the chance to eat there you totally should so worth it!

Sweater Dress from Marshalls - Bali Leggings (gifted) - Coach Flats - H&M bag

The weather in Vegas was a bit chilly and windy, wore lots of leggings, jeans and sweaters.  I wore my new sweater dress from Marshalls I got on black Friday.  The pictures are a bit crappy but you get the idea. I really love this sweater dress with the cowl neck.  It was warm enough for the weather, but not to thick or bulky.  Hope everyone is having a better holiday season (than I am) and enjoys their Christmas.  I will be having a new giveaway in about a week so please come back for details.

Winter Break

So its official, I am now unemployed (again).  Before you feel bad for me, I knew my job would be ending this month.  Sadly the work I do is a seasonal thing.  We are done and there is really no work for us to do.  Our program only runs about 7 months. So if all goes well and our state funding comes through I be back to my job in the summer.  So in the mean time I'm taking a break from blogging, from stressing, from holidays and heading out to LAS VEGAS!   (woo-hoo) I'm only going to be gone for a few days and will return back to my life  and blogging on Monday. Until then enjoy your weekend, your holiday shopping and whatever else you may do.  Thank you all for being great followers and readers of the blog.

Don't forget to enter my Shopbop $100 Giveaway which ends Friday 12/17/10 at 11:59pm pacific time.

Look out for another giveaway when I return. Have a great weekend!!

CSF Daily Wish: Asos Curve Faux Fur

Asos Curve Faux Fur Coat $82.75
I'm not a huge fan of fur or even faux fur as a matter of fact.  This coat though I can totally rock!  I love the color and the style. It doesn't seem too exaggerated and so cozy.  Although not sure how much use I would get out  of it here in LA.  Doesn't really get cold enough to wear, but I would make sure to work it into my outfits some how.  Oh yeah and its on sale at Asos with a 20% discount.  So tempting isn't it!!

So I'll be back to my regular post shortly, along with daily wish after a short break.  I'm off to Vegas for a few days to unwind and relax.  My job is officially over as of today, so I will definitely been blogging full time...possibly!  Have a great week everyone.

**Shopbop $100 gift card giveaway still going on until 12/17/10, you can enter until Friday 11:59pm pacific standard time.  Click (HERE) to enter. Good Luck!

CSF Daily Wish: Coach Poppy Case

Coach Poppy Graffiti Universal Case $48.00

Coach is another one of my fave brands. I love the quality and variety of styles they offer in all their handbags & accessories.  I know your probably thinking "Everyone has Coach"!!  Yeah, true lots of people do have Coach everything.  I have some bags, wallets, shoes, jewelry, scarf, gloves and even key chains.  The one thing I love about Coach is the affordability.  I shop at the Coach outlet a lot and find many great items for under $100.  Even if you pay the full retail price, many items are around under $500. That's affordable for high end designer handbags.  I saw this cute little case, and surely adding it to my Coach collection.  It's a universal case for smart phone (my iphone) or mp3 players (my ipod). Kinda cute huh! For the price its not bad, let's see if I get lucky and find it at the outlet on my trip to Vegas.

CSF Daily Wish: Anna Scholz

Anna Scholz, Crepe Jersey Triangle Dress 199 euro (about $266)

This Anna Scholz dress caught my attention since the first day I saw it! I have been able to see it on the runway twice already and every time it makes me want it more.  I think this lovely dress would a perfect holiday party dress.  I don't really wear red so this color is an alternative for me. Just add some fishnet tights and maybe some hot suede pumps and its party time!  The structure of the dress with the slight ruching and triangle at the waist make it flattering and visually interesting.  The price tag is not so interesting to me right now, but one day I will own a Anna Scholz dress.  Do any of you lovely readers own any Anna Scholz?

CSF Daily Wish: O.P.I Mini Nail Color Set

Sephora by O.P.I mini collection $22

I am in serious need of a good manicure, my nails are a mess! I've been so busy working and doing things every weekend. No time for a little me time at the nail salon. This weekend I am definitely going to make some time for a manicure.  I have been a fan of O.P.I nail polish for years. I love the colors and it last for a long time on my nails.  I usually take my own nail polish to the nail salon when I get manicures.  I never do my own nails at home, because they will look so awful. Like a 5 yr old painted my nails...lol   I usually buy the full size O.P.I polish but since I don't paint my nails that often or go to the salon they stay in my bath cabinet forever.  How long does nail polish last? Does it have a expiration date? No clue!  These little mini polishes would be perfect for me and the variety of colors is gorgeous. Maybe if I am a good girl I may find these in my stocking Christmas morning!  :)

Taste of Mexico Event

On Saturday December 4, 2010 I was lucky to attend an awesome event in LA.  I won a pair of tickets to Taste of Mexico on Facebook from Avocados from Mexico (who was a sponsor).  The Taste of Mexico event was a celebration for the Bicentennial of Mexico and its cuisine.  The event was held in LA at Cathedral of St. Vibiana, which is now used for events.  The event is a collaboration with some of the best and top Mexican restaurants and bakery in LA.  There was food, tequila and traditional Mexican music and dancers, all under one roof!  First of all let me tell you the food was AWESOME!  You may be thinking, don't I eat Mexican food all time, anyways! Umm yeah I do but some of the food there was very regional to certain states in Mexico, like Oxcaca.  Which I had never had before, my family is from another state in Mexico and have very different cuisine.  Along with the great food from 3 different restaurants they also had sweets from The Monarca Bakery, which had a variety of pan dulce (sweet bread), flan and other goodies for everyone to enjoy.  You can't have a Taste of Mexico with out some good tequila.  There were about 5 different types and brands of tequila on hand to try. Each giving you unlimited shots to enjoy.  I only tried about 3 of them, but sister took advantage of all them! LOL  The entire night was great and I enjoy it all, I definitely recommend you try any of the restaurants and bakery if you are in LA or plan on visiting.

Pictures from event, Monique from Curves & Chaos and Liz from Mommy for Two also attended.

CSF Daily Wish: Proenza Schouler Suede Satchel

Proenza Schouler PS1 Large Suede Satchel $1995
OMG I totally gasped when this bag came on my screen via the PurseBlog.  The color, the style, the size...I love it all.  One thing I don't love is the PRICE! Yowza!!! Totally out of my budget, but a girl can dream and fantasize! LOL   Ah what I would give for this satchel to be mine. Hmm I wonder if Proenza Schouler is the next to do a Target Collab! Oh wait I think they already did...but I need their handbags now.  Well if and when that day comes, you know I will first in line at Target.  Hmm kinda reminds you of something doesn't it...Mulberry anyone?

CSF Daily Wish: Sam Edelman Novato Pumps

Sam Edelman Novato Platform Pumps $99

I saw these sparkly lovelies in the December issue of Harper's Bazaar.  I normally don't wear shoes like these, and probably never will.  I just loved how they sparkle and would look hot for New Years Eve! Maybe one day I can actually walk in these and rock'em.

CSF Daily Wish: Betsey Johnson Broach

Starting today Monday December 6, 2010 I'm starting a new feature on the blog called CSF Daily Wish.  I have seen lots of post about wish list and what everyone wants for the holidays.  I think those list are great, but sometimes I think my list would be to long.  Instead of doing a list I plan on doing daily wish items.  Being an avid shopper online and in stores (sometimes just browsing more than buying) I see so many thing I love and want.  Most are fantasy items I can't afford, but a girl can dream right!  So here ya go, my 1st CSF Daily Wish item. I will try and do a daily wish every day (hence the name) but don't hold to me to it if I miss a day or two...Oh by the way not all the items may be fashion related. OK Thanks! :)

Betsey Johnson Large Owl Broach $50.00

If you haven't noticed by now reading my blog, I LOVE BETSEY JOHNSON!  She is one of my all time fave designers.  When I saw this owl broach, it was love at first sight.  So cute with an edge with the black & green enamel. I have been wanting a brooch to add to my collection.  Its actually quite affordable, but debating if I will really wear it since I am not a big broach wearer. So what do you think, to broach or not to broach?

Shopping TJ Maxx/Marshalls for the Holidays

Its no secret I love to shop, but I love to shop for deals and bargains.  TJ Maxx and Marshalls are some of my fave spots to shop for almost any thing and everything.  TJ Maxx/ Marshalls sent me a $50 gift card to do a little holiday shopping.  If you do a little rack searching you can find some amazing deals. I have bought many designer, clothes, shoes and handbags at TJ Maxx/Marshalls.  I was saving up my gift card for the Thanksgiving weekend and Black Friday sales.  I hit the clearence rack first, force of habit! LOL  Didn't find anything there so I headed over to the dress section. I found two cute dress, one sweater dress and one strapless jacquard dress.  My boyfriend hit the clearence racks as well and scored on a few shirts from Ralph Lauren, Nike & Young and Reckless Tee.  Overall we made out like bandits with 2 big bags of goodies.  I like going to different TJ Maxx/Marshalls around the city and state to see what different things they all carry. Sometimes its the same things, other times I find totally different stuff.  Its always fun going shopping at Marshalls and discovering great bargains. I can't wait to wear my new dresses and show you my ootds.

Shopped at the Marshalls in San Diego, Mission Valley area.

These are the dresses I got with $50 gift card. Charcoal gray sweater dress with cowl neck from Marisa Christina for $24.99 and strapless jacquard party dress (with pockets) for $19.99 from Snap.  I love the teal color of the party dress and thinking about wearing for New Years Eve with a sequin shrug.  So what do you think of my finds from Marshalls.  Overall I think I did really well, love both dress and excited to wear them soon!  Have you shopped TJ Maxx/Marshalls lately? What awesome things have you found?

**P.S. I have 2 giveaways coming up soon so come back to find what they are. You will need to follow on Google Friend Connect to enter and win.  So if your not already following the blog do so now!! Thanks

Black Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Its been over a week since Thanksgiving and Black Friday, but I'm just getting around to sharing my finds.  I spent Thanksgiving and the entire weekend in San Diego.  Its one of my favorite cities and only a short drive away from Long Beach.  San Diego has many great spots to sight see and great shopping too. We got a great deal at the Hilton Bayfront San Diego over looking the San Diego bay, it felt like paradise. I love fancy hotel at motel prices....LOL   I didn't do too much if any shopping on Black Friday, but made up for it on Saturday & Sunday.  I hit up 2 malls, 2 outlets and some local shops. Overall I think I did well and didn't over spend...well kinda!  It was really cold and windy in San Diego that weekend so  you will see me wearing the same sweater and scarf the whole time. I wasn't prepared for the weather. Here's a little video of my mini vacay and shopping spree.  Enjoy!

**P.S. I have 2 giveaways coming up soon so come back to find what they are. You will need to follow on Google Friend Connect to enter and win.  So if your not already following the blog do so now!! Thanks

InStyle Inspiration: Turkey Trot

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving day and long weekend.  Most of us were probably off from work and school for a few days, so I hope you had a restful weekend.  I was out of town for the holiday and spent Thanksgiving night in San Diego.  I wanted to wear look 3 of the In Style Inspiration and post it earlier, but stuff happens, you know!  So I had another outfit in mind for the last look, but couldn't find the mini dress similar to the one in the magazine. So being the fashionista that I am (self proclaimed...LOL) improvised and made it work.   I wanted to be comfortable and have room for all the turkey and sides I was gonna eat. Also wanted to be comfortable for the drive to San Diego. Overall I was happy with the look, although not with the pictures captured.  Didn't get the best shots, but still wanted to share with you the final look. Oh well you will get the idea of the outfit. Hope you enjoyed my 3 looks and ways to wear a cargo vest.  I enjoyed this challenge and truly have learned to be more creative with my looks.  Below is look 3 of the InStyle Inspiration.

Look 3: Toss the vest over a mini dress or tunic for a night out. A metallic bag and edgy extras play off the dark boots.

Top: Striped Tunic from Evans (gifted from secret santa)
Leggings: Black from Pure Energy via Target
Bag: Mulberry for Target patent cross-body
Boots: Studded scrunch boots from Volatile

P.S. I realized this weekend that I make that dorky face every time I take self pictures...why? who knows...but its kinda funny! LOL  Oh by the way I also started a Tumblr blog if your interested, please check it out ---> Photo Bytes

InStyle Inspiration: Cube Chic

Today I wore my second look of the InStyle Inspiration; cargo vest.  I call it my cube chic look.  Working in an office and being confined to a cubicle isn't always the best place to express your fashion sense.  My office is very business casual and some people are way more casual than business.  I try to maintain my style while yet looking some what professional, let me tell ya not always easy.  When I saw the Look 2 of the InStyle cargo vest, it screamed office chic to me.

While I only own the cargo vest from this look, I substituted a few pieces from my wardrobe to make it work.  Didn't have a graphic pencil skirt, so I wore a black skirt with some ruffle details.  Didn't have a white button down shirt, so I wore a white top with 3/4 sleeves.  No black heels for me either, after my ankle sprain this summer, I stay off anything higher than 2 inches.  I wore some black tights because it was a chilly day with black oxfords.  As much as I love wearing the cargo vest, not sure if I will do this look again. I think the vest is a bit too long to wear with skirts. If it was short it may work better.  I think leggings and jeans work better for this vest and my style. So here you go my look 2 with cargo vest inspired by the InStyle magazine. What do you think of my cube chic look?

Look 2: A skirt and billowy blouse project a ladylike attitude. Finish with heels and frame bag for work worthy style.

Cargo Vest: DKNY from Lane Bryant
Blouse: White 3/4 sleeve from Old Navy
Skirt: Black Ruffles from INC via Macy's
Shoes: Oxfords from Naturalizer
Belt: Woven Skinny belt from Torrid
Bag: Mulberry for Target pebble satchel

In Style Inspiration

I was reading my In Style December issue and came across this style inspiration.

I was instantly inspired and thought of my DKNY cargo vest from Lane Bryant.  I have been wearing it a lot this fall, but can always get new styling ideas.  When I saw this page, knew I wanted to try all 3 looks.   You have already seen my cargo vest in a few ootd's (here & here) but these looks are new and different. So as a challenge to my self I am going to do my version of the three ways to wear the cargo vest inspired by the picture above.

Look 1: Layered with leggings and a scarf for warm weekend outfit.

Cargo Vest: DKNY from Lane Bryant
Leggings: Denim from Lane Bryant
Top: Long Sleeve Henley from H&M
Scarf: Ditsy Floral from Avenue
Boots: Brown suede from J. Crew

Fashion Secret Santa 2010

Several months ago Valerie from Blog to be Alive, put out the word she was starting the 1st annual Fashion Bloggers Secret Santa.  Which basically the same concept of exchanging a gift for Christmas with another person. The twist with this Secret Santa was they are all fashion bloggers from all over the world.  I thought it was such a cool idea and signed up.  Valerie was in charge of collecting everyone's info and assigning Secret Santa. Cool thing was she opened it up to all fashion bloggers, not exclusively plus size/curvy bloggers.  All you had to do is send your Secret Santa a fashion related gift.  I received my gift from my Secret Santa earlier this week. I was very excited and wanted to share with you opening the gifts.  Check out my little video, courtesy of rx2lab.com (please give him props if you like my videos) :)  I hope the turn out was successful and Valerie will do this again next year, its a very fun idea.

Oh by the way I did the video late at night so forgive my appearance and lack of shoes....oopsie!

By the way I am sending out my Secret Santa gift this weekend, (Shh can't tell you who it is, in case you are reading this post) I haven't forgotten you and hope you enjoy your gift! ;)  Don't forget to comment, rate and subscribe to my YouTube!

Product Review: Whooga Boots

Love them or hate them "Ugg" type boots are here to stay.  I recently received a pair of Whooga ugg boots for review.  I know what your thinking "Why". Well many years ago when I first spotted the celebs wearing these type of boots I did think they were ugly and silly looking.  Then I started seeing everyone around town wearing them, even my BFF jumped on this band wagon. She would gush over how warm, cozy and comfy her ugg boots were.  I finally gave in and bought my own pair.  I didn't get Ugg brand but a lesser priced brand. Yes they were comfy, cozy and warm.  But something was off about this pair, for example I didn't know they would stretch. I got a size up since they felt snug when I first got them (I wore socks).  So now they are stretched out.  I also didn't realized you shouldn't wear socks with them, they would get too warm and made my feet sweat. Gross.

Well when Whooga asked me if I wanted to try a pair of their ugg boots, I said yes.  After reading through their website I was able to find answers to all my questions.  Fit was my main concern, Whooga has a guide on how your boots should fit and how to measure your foot to get the proper fit. They also go into detail about measuring your calves to help you decide the length of your boots.  They range from mini, short and tall and also in a variety of colors.  The Whooga website also gives you good tips on how to care for and clean your boots as well as how and what to wear them with. It's kinda cool!  The section I found most interesting was Improved Warmth, explaining the technology how the boots keep you warm and at the right temp during any season.  I did find these Whooga boots kept my feet warm and comfortable at all times with out over heating.  I loved that I could wear them with out getting sweating feet. Whooga ugg boots also claim to be Eco-friendly biodegradable and recyclable which is friendlier for the environment, by not using Chrome Tanning agents.  Who doesn't love products being green and  earth friendly.  Whooga boots come in a variety of sizes for kids, woman and men. Which is great for those of you who have larger feet and can't find your size, they go up to a size US 14 men. They ship out with in 12-48 hrs of ordering,  you will get a tracking and confirmation and offer 100% satisfaction guarantee or receive a full refund.

My boots came quickly and nicely packaged in a cute box with a satin bow.   I wore them all weekend long and love them.  They look and feel good. The stitching and construction with thick soles is really good. I chose the metallic pewter short boots and the color is great, because its not too shiny but has enough of the metallic look to it. I wore them with leggings and skinny jeans and plan to wear them all fall and winter long on the weekends. They kept me warm and cozy, with out making my feet sweaty.  The boots were easy to slip into with no problem. I also liked the fact you can fold them over at the top to give them a different look. The only thing I found was these boots are probably not the best to walk all over town all day long. After hours of shopping and errands I found my feet hurting a bit, but other than that I really love these boots. I also didn't really care for the large tag on the heel of shoe, but other wise they are fine. If your in the market for some ugg type boots, take a look at Whooga. Like I said love them or hate them they are here to stay, so might as well get a good pair you love! I just love the warm and fuzzy feeling I get when I wear the Whooga boots.  My feet are always cold so these babies do the trick and keep me warm.  Some people may think they are unfashionable and ugly. I like to I wear them either way, regardless what the fashion police may say! LOL

I wore Whooga boots with leggings and a tunic to do some returns at the mall. Folded them over to give the "fur trim" effect that's on trend right now. What do you think of this look?

New Friends with Blogs!

While at Full Figured Fashion Week in LA last month I met some very awesome women.  Many were fellow bloggers and others were professionals in the plus size fashion industry.  I had the pleasure of not only meeting them but talk and hang out with them a couple times and now call them friends.  Just want you all to know these ladies have blogs as well and you should check them out.  They are new to the blogosphere so show them some love!

On Holiday

Thursday November 11, 2010 was a holiday, Veterans day. No work for me! It felt great to be able to sleep in and hang out with my boo.  We spent the day together, had lunch at a local Indian buffet by the marina over looking the ocean and boats.  It made me feel like I was on vacation (holiday) the day was perfect.  It was a sunny fall day with a bit of chill in the air and slight wind.  I wore my leopard print scarf from H&M. I've had scarf for a while but unable to wear it until today. I paired it with a new sweater vest and my boots, this outfit is a typical fall uniform for me. Expect to see different variations of this outfit on the blog as well as many scarves.  I will try and mix it up so it doesn't all look the same. LOL

So do you have a typical type of outfit for fall you wear a lot of?

Latina Bloggers Unite!

Last weekend on November 6, 2010 I attended the Discovering Mas Los Angeles Latina Bloggers Luncheon.  The luncheon was organized by Monique from Blogs By Latinas (also from Curves & Chaos).  Although it was not a fashion related blog event, there were some fashion bloggers in attendance. I wanted to share this event because it was a great learning and networking experience.  The day consistent of a lovely lunch at the Marie Callendar's in LA, 2 guest speakers, 40 awesome Latina bloggers and lots of swag. The speakers were Jennifer Vides and Wally Sabria who gave us tips for branding our selves and blogs, as well as how to use social media to help our blogs grow.  Using social media tools and networking with fellow bloggers are the keys to a successful blog.  Meeting other Latina bloggers was very insprining. Some ladies are doing amazing things with their blogs, brands and some have even made it their full time jobs!  A few ladies were there to learn and wanting to start their blogs, it was nice to give them some advice on what I and other bloggers have learned.  For me it has been a trial and error process and would have loved to have gotten some tips from more experienced bloggers.  So I was more than happy to give some tips and advice to some of the new bloggers. I don't claim to be an expert but I think I have good info to share. Over all it was a successful event and so happy I was a part of it.  Oh yeah and the sway bags rocked, they were so heavy and full of great products. I still haven't been able to go through it all!

Thank you to all the sponsors, the speakers Jennifer Vides & Wally Sabria and Monique of Blogs By Latinas for making all possible.  Here's a little video I have to share of the event. For pictures from the event please check out my Flickr page here. Enjoy!

Here is the outfit I wore to the luncheon, this is a fashion blog after all!

FFF Weekend Outfits

Finally I was able to gather all the outfit pictures from Full Figured Fashion Week(end) in LA. The entire weekend was wonderful and I had a great time. I took so many pictures it has taken me forever to go through them, edit and post. I have also uploaded all my FFF Weekend pictures to flickr if your interested in looking at them you can (here). If you see a picture of your self or want to use a picture for your blog, feel free. All I ask is that you credit me and link back to CSF.  Since I haven't done a outfit post in a while here is a post of all my outfits I wore during FFF Week(end) in LA.  I was not sponsored by any one for FFF Week(end). Think I managed to pull off some cute looks with what I had. I did wear 2 pieces from Sealed With A Kiss Designs that were gifted but not for FFF Weekend, but from previous events. Also used a gift card I received from B & Lu at Viva Fat Vegas to buy the leaf print dress. Below are the pictures of my outfits from the 4 days of events. Enjoy!
