Hello Good Bye

Another year is gone, 2012 seems like such blur. It was a tough year for me and my family.  2012 had some good moments, but instead of saying good bye...I am saying HELLO to 2013.

Some people are adverse to the number 13, but not me.  I've never been extremely superstitious and can't recall bad days or moments with 13.  If fact its been a good number to me so I am embracing 2013 and welcoming it with open arms and heart.  Hope your year was great, if it wasn't then don't despair.  We have a whole new year to makes changes, improvements and start a new.  Have a wonderful New Year! Thank you for continuing support of Cid Style File and I look forward to saying Hello to you and 2013.

I don't want to make any blog resolutions, but promise to make this new year a better one for the blog.  CSF was  bit neglected in 2012, but never forgotten.  2013 is gonna be the year for CSF to shine!

I leave you with this song, its not a goodbye but H E L L O to you!

Indigenous is #WorthWearing

The holidays can be wonderful, bringing out Christmas spirit.  Although I try to be positive and full of cheer all year, lately I wasn't feeling very cheerful.  No particular reason, just feeling a little sad with all the tragic things going on in the world and missing a few love ones that are gone.  I haven't even put up a Christmas tree or any decorations.  This weekend I decided to get out of my funk and enjoy some holiday cheer.  The boo and I went out for some shopping and dinner in Downtown Brea, CA.  I wore a new poncho c/o Indigenous Organic Clothing the bright green color and stripes reminded me of candy cane.  Along with the music and decorations I started to get back in the holiday cheer and feeling better.  Surprising what a little bit of color in your outfit can do for your mood.  At first I was not sure about the bold color and stripes of the poncho, it grew on me.  Green is my favorite color after all but don't wear it as much as I should.  The poncho is made of organic cotton, which makes it so soft and cozy.  Indigenous has so many great Eco-fashion items for the earth conscious fashionista.

Lacey Cheetah

It's been way to long since I posted an outfit.  Guess I haven't really been inspired with fashion in the past few months, so taking outfit pictures was not a priority.  This weekend I got a little bit inspiration to mix prints/patterns.  I've had these cheetah print jeans for a while and didn't really know what to pair them with, other than the obvious black shirt (oh how creative!..LOL)  Sometimes I see a trend I like, but can be a bit intimidated to try it.  Pattern mixing is one of those trends, love the look but wasn't quite sure how to do it for my self.  I attempted that look with this outfit, cheetah print and lace.  The color of the top helped pull it off, in my opinion. Guess I have to get out of my own head sometimes and just go with it.  Hope to be more daring with trends/outfits, and share more outfit post on the blog.  Sounds like I already have a new years resolutions...oh no it that time of year!  Lets not get ahead of ourselves just yet, we still have to get through Christmas outfits!

Got My Walking Boots, Do You?

Gosh feels like its been a century since my last post.  What can I say except I've been busy, good busy from working, to traveling to just enjoying life.  Well enough excuses, lets get down to blog business!

For the past month I have seriously been living in a pair of boots from Naturalizer.  These boots were literally made for walking...LOL  So Naturalizer isn't my usual brand I go to for cute, stylish shoes but you know what they are great!  They have this cute little quiz on their website which tells you what your Inner "Izer" is and helps you find the right shoe for you style.  I took the quiz and found out I'm a Synthesizer = "You're a little bit rock and a little bit roll. You turn it up every chance you get. Whether it's the latest trend in boots or a fabulous bold new accessory, your style is hip and always your own."  Its a fun little quiz and you know what, its totally right.  It takes you to a section of shoes that fits your "Izer" personality and I quickly fell in love with these Onset boots.  Just what my wardrobe needed. Comfy, cute and stylish boots for every outfit and occasion. The boots have this N5 technology (extra cushioning, breathable lining, balanced heel to toe, flexible soles and light weight material).   Which is what we all want in our shoes, right? Well I do, fashionable shoes are great, but in my book, if they are not comfortable to wear, the style doesn't matter.  Naturalizer gives both the style you want and the comfort you need.

The boots have been with me everywhere, from work, to weekend shopping, to concerts and even on my trip to NYC.  Seriously comfy and I can walk in them all day long.  I wore them with jeans, leggings, slacks, dresses and tights.  I hope they last me a long time because right now the Onset boots are my FAVE!

Go over to Naturalizer and take the "Izer" quiz here, you may be surprised to see what they have to offer.  Not only are the shoes comfy, but definitely have some very on trend and fashionable shoes for every style.

Let me know what "Izer" you are and share you fave shoes from Naturalizer.
