Let's Have A Sexy Verano

When you think of summer what comes to mind?  For me it's hot, sexy and cocktails.  I was invited by SlimFast and Latina Bloggers Connect to try out some cocktail recipes.  Darryl Robinson, host of the show "Drink Up" on The Cooking Channel created four exclusive recipes featuring some of the tastiest and tredniest ingredients of the season. Using Slimfast with just 120-190 calories in every cocktail, you won't feel guilty or regret enjoying a yummy cocktail this summer. 

All the cocktails have sexy names to go along with the tasty ingredients.  Berry Sexy Vanilla Sunrise, Sassy Strawberry Colada, Tall, Dark & Handsome, and Cinful Iced Latte.  With names like that it was a difficult choice in choosing what cocktail to try first.  It was a hard choice, but with berries in peak season I deceidecd to try the Berry Sexy Vanilla Sunrise Mocktail.  Oh did I forget to tell you all the recipes come with alcohol and non-alcoholic versions. Since its a school night, I went with non-alcoholic version. Its easy and simple to make and the results are pure deliciousness.

Here is what you will need to make the Slim-Fast Berry Sexy Vanilla Sunrise Mocktail.

  • 3 oz. Slimfast French Vanilla Shake
  • 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries (I used fresh berries)
  • 1-2 pieces of fresh ginger - to taste
  • 1 1/2 tsp. agave syrup or honey
  • 1 ice cube; Add more as needed for smooth consistencey
  • Additional berries for garnish.

Blend It. Serve It. Work it!
