Baking Instead of Shopping on Black Friday with Nestle (GIVEAWAY)

*This post is in collaboration with All You Magazine and El Mejor Nido Nestle*

It's December 1st and that means Christmas is only a few weeks away, the holidays are going by too fast.  The holiday season is always my favorite, from spending time with family, baking and eating all the delicious treats. OK truth be told I'm better at eating the treats than I am at making them...ha ha.  My sister is the baker in the family, I usually assist her in baking and obviously in eating her delicious creations.  Well this time it's my turn to bake and create some yummy treats.

Thanks to All You magazine, they sent me a lovely basket filled with Nestle products and recipe to make coffee flan cupcakes and a festive beverage bar.  As I read the recipe it all sounded great with all my favorite things, chocolate, coffee and flan!!   Well thank goodness the recipe was easy to follow and make. Flan to me always seemed like something really difficult to make and only my abuelita made. Well after making this easy coffee flan cupcake recipe I am more confident in my flan baking abilities.

I enlisted the help of my sister and niece, instead of black friday shopping we decided to bake.

Here is what you need to make this recipe
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 12 foil cupcake liners
  • 1 can (14 oz) NESTLÉ LA LECHERA Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 can (12 fluid oz) NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
  • 1 tablespoon NESCAFÉ CLÁSICO Pure Instant Coffee Granules
Start to finish, my niece assisting me in baking the flan.

Just a few products needed to make this recipe, it actually was really easy.  Just 35 mins in the oven and our flan cupcakes were done. After a few hours in the fridge they were ready to eat.  I made some Nestle Abuelita Mexican hot chocolate to go along with our treat.  On the back of package was another recipe to make Mokalita,  just add some Nescafe instant coffee to your hot chocolate and your done. You have a mocha hot chocolate or Mokalita.  My sister, niece and I enjoyed our coffee flan cupcakes and hot chocolate watching movies.  It was a great way to spend a chilly Friday evening.

Final product, my coffee flan cupcakes, they taste better than they look!

  8. Trader Joe's pumpkin bread. I add extra pumpkin spice, a couple drops of vanilla to the mix, and drizzle a little bit of condensed milk on the top before baking.
