The Fab 40s - Hats For Fall Style

September is almost over and I am back with a FAB 40's post. I know my blogging has been lacking this month and I do sincerely apologize. I have 101 excuses as to why no blog post have been published in the past few weeks. However I am sure you don't want to hear my sob stories of stress, work and just plain lack of motivation and time. Let's just focus on the positive and enjoy this months Fab 40's post. September is my month to choose the theme and decided to go with hats. Since it is now officially FALL, I thought hats would be a great way to introduce my favorite season.

Hats are such a fun accessory, but sadly I don't wear them often or at all, until now. See I have the double curse for hats. I have a big head and big hair! It can be a struggle and challenge to find a hat that fits as well as looks decent on me. I love hats and how they can totally elevate and outfits. Something about wearing a hat seems so stylish and classy to me. Also they are fun to play with and when I found this cutie of a hat, I knew it would be perfect for this months Fab 40's theme.

There are so many ways to style a hat, my first reaction was to go with my beloved jeans and a cozy sweater. That would have been too easy and obvious, I had to change it up and challenge my self. I recently received this gorgeous maxi olive dress c/o of GCGMe and thought it would be fun to pair the dress with a hat. I chose the olive color, instead of my usual black. I already own one too many black dresses, so I decided to change it up with this maxi dress as well. I also love olive green, and own several other items in this color, but not a dress. This color is gorgeous for fall and maxi dresses can be so versatile for any season.

I am wearing the Samantha Batwing Maxi in 3X, which fits me perfectly! The dress drapes very nicely and I love the way it fits me. Its not super long on me at 5'6 it skims the floor.  I am wearing flats and it doesn't drag on the floor and would look great with heels as well. The fabric is soft and easy to care for, which makes it a great dress for any occasion. I see me wearing this dress to a more formal event such as a wedding by adding heels, nicer jewelry and hair in an up-do. Also can be dressed down and worn more casual like I did here with the sandals and hat.  I plan on wearing this in the colder months as well with maybe tights and boots. Possibilities are endless with a dress like this and I am glad to have more options in maxi dresses for plus size with GCGME. They offer a wide range of styles in maxi dress and range from size S-4X. I love when retailers offer a range of sizes that most all of us woman can wear. You won't have to shop in separate shops when you are very different sizes. Being inclusive of such a wide range of size is so smart and pricing is very reasonable. GCGME offers value and style with their gorgeous dresses....which makes them a winner in my book!

Now on to my one of the best reason I love doing The Fab 40's post. The ladies of Fab 40's always bring it each month and they always seem to inspire and give us great style and diversity. This month was a challenge for us all and not one complained about using a hat in this months look. I hope you continue to enjoy my post and make sure to visit all the ladies of Fab 40's. I promise you will love their blogs and style as much as I do!

Here are the Fab 40's Bloggers in this months theme...Hats

Samantha of Fake Fabulous seems to have a similar issue like me in finding hats. I would have never known, since she looks smashing in her hat. I am loving her gorgeous fall look with layers and tights. Doesn't she look so chic and stylish!

Sheela of Sheela Writes always has us anticipating her look. She always delivers such fierce style and this month is no different. Look at that FABULOUS HAT! I may need to hunt down a hat with a veil for my self!  Perfection Sheela!

Jennie of A Pocketful of Polk Dots is giving me total retro vibes with this look. She looks totally adorable in her newsboy hat, I am always a fan of denim jackets as well. Jennie's outfit looks like anyone of us can recreate it for the fall, she makes it look effortless!

Mary of CurlyByrdie Chirps is always so feminine and classy.  I love how she added the long crochet vest and hat to this classic look to give a bit of edge while maintaining her signature look .

Ann of Kremb De La Kremb always looks so cool! I love how she added a twist to this months theme with a turban, technically its still a hat right! LOL  Ann style is such great combo of edgy, boho and chic.
Let me introduce you to this months guest blogger Janeane of Designing From My Closet.  I discovered Janeane's blog over a year ago searching for plus size bloggers over 40 in Orange County (where I live). It wasn't an easy search, but I found her and so happy we have been able to connect IRL. I knew she would be great as a guest blogger for The Fab 40's. Her style is very California chic and she loves to play with prints and colors.

Will you be adding hats to your fall wardrobe?

I really do hope you enjoy these Fab 40's post and getting some style inspirations from all the ladies. Please make sure to visit all the Fab 40 bloggers to see the full details of their outfits and get to know more about them as well. I promise you will not be disappointed reading these blogs if you aren't already familiar with these ladies!.

  14. Every girl knows that she can trust in Christian Louboutin, to create a magical pair of shoes for the party season and for his latest Holiday collection he has taken storytelling to a whole new level. From an illustrated novel entitled The Tale of the Shoemaker and the Stolen Stars that christian louboutin outlet has been brought to life in video form, to animated window installations and in-boutique storytelling sessions it's making the holiday season all the more special. Illustrated by Remi Wyar, the story is about a shoemaker who is inspired by the beauty of the world around him. Much like Louboutin himself, the cheap christian louboutin shoemaker is obsessed with creating the most desirable pieces in existence. Of course a fairytale wouldn't be a fairytale without an obsessive queen, but you'll have to watch our exclusive http://www.christianlouboutinoutlet.uk.com below to find out the rest.

  16. Along with stone, mud and animal parts, wood was one of the first materials worked by early humans. Microwear analysis of the Mousterian stone tools used by the Neanderthals show that many were used to work wood. The development of civilization was closely tied to the development of increasingly greater degrees of skill in working these materials.

  18. Brush piles are also goo places to fish Carolina rigs. Work the lead to the brush pile and stop it. The worm or lizard will slowly fall and often draw the bass out. If that does not work, pull the lead over the brush and let it fall to the bottom. Then stop it. The following worm will sink slowly and is often more than the bass can stand.

  19. I have had this experience happen and what is best to do is this: Jack up the car, drain all the oil and antifreeze that she mixed completely. After that, take out the oil filter, and fill with the correct amount of oil and the proper oil filter. After that, run it and it should be fine until the next oil change.

  20. At some grocery stores and even Cost World Market you can mix and match a six pack to your own liking. This normally ends up being more than buying a standard six from Sam Adams or the like. It is in my experience only cheaper when you fill it with one offs form broken cases of the macros.

  21. I would recommend you do a market analysis and prepare a business plan before you do anything else. In other words, see what type of demand there is for nature photography and what the competition is like in your market and then work out, in detail, how you plan on making money, what your costs are going to be, how you will market yourself, how are you going to bankroll the first 3 years of your business before you start to generate a profit.
