The end of the month is turing out to be my favorite to blog. This is the time I collaborate with 7 other fashion bloggers for The Fab 40's post. Each month 8 bloggers from around the world create a look based on monthly themes. We are all fashion bloggers who are 40+, and rocking it with our style. This months theme has been my favorite since I started participating earlier this year. If you haven't guessed it yet from my picture...this month we are doing 90's Grunge. Oh how I love this theme, this was my style in the 90's. I was in my late teens, early 20's when grunge was in its prime. Grunge music was my scene, and I love it all from the style to the music and attitude. I was the moody teen, who listen to alternative rock and wore all black. I was the girl who didn't fit into any particular group in school. I was the girl who wanted to be different and not go with the crowd. Grunge music and style just seemed like a perfect fit for me.

Earlier this year I decided to make some changes in my life, nothing that would be noticeable right away. I didn't lose weight, I didn't change my hair or appearance. I haven't moved or changed jobs, nothing anyone would be able to tell a difference. The changes have been internal, mental and emotional. These changes have been a long time coming and were very much needed for my soul. The one major change was I started to live in gratitude, being mindful of everything in my life. Doesn't seem like a big change, but for me it has been huge. I always thought of my self as optimistic and a cheerful person, but I wasn't really being authentic. Changes needed to be made and I realized it was up to me to set the path for change. I noticed my self feeling unmotivated, not truly being happy with my self or life. Not because my life was awful or bad in any way, but because I was dissatisfied in my self.

Traveling is one of life's greats adventures and every one needs to do as much as possible in this lifetime. First thing that comes to mind when talking about traveling is money. Most people will say you need a lot of money to travel. It's too expensive and traveling is only for rich people. Wrong!!! Anyone can travel, it's for everyone! With some planning and budgeting we can all enjoy traveling. You don't have to travel far from home either to enjoy a vacation or getaway. I think most people think you need to travel far across the world, you can if you have the means. However so many of us do not really explore our own cities and states. You can have a marvelous vacation and getaway with in your own state. I recently took a very affordable and budget friendly trip to San Francisco, California. Just a few hours away by bus up to Northern California. I want to share you with you some tips on how to enjoy traveling on a budget with out sacrificing anything.

I left my heart in San Francisco and can't wait to go back! Last weekend I spent a few wonderful days in San Francisco and I am still trying to recover. My trip was short, but we managed to fit in so many fun activities and a short visit with my beautiful nieces. This cutie here is going to college in San Francisco, I had promised to go visit her while she's in school. My scheduled finally allowed me take a trip to San Francisco. I have so much to share and give you a proper travel blog post. Today just sharing a quick blog on what I wore for a rainy, chilly and windy San Francisco.

I'm excited to feature another look for the Fab 40's challenge. Every month a group of fabulous fashion bloggers over 40 team up to do our own interpretation of a style theme. This month Ann of Kremb De La Kremb chose preppy for October. OK I know you're thinking, its actually November 1st today. I was out of town for a few days and wasn't able to post on Monday, our designated day. Well I didn't want to miss out on this months fun preppy theme, so here I am a day late. Here is my interpretation of a preppy fall look.
